Beachy Range Travel Trailers: For Off-Grid Coastal Adventures
Beachy gives off a retro-chic surfer vibe
Germany has always had a love affair with both high-end engineering and exciting adventures on the open road.
Think of a Volkswagen Kombi tearing down the autobahn at 100 miles per hour.
This obsession has been going on for some time. Since 1967, Hobby Caravans has been designing, building, and exporting their caravans and trailer campers from their HQ in Fockbek in Northern Germany.
They've recently released their "Beachy" range, a stylish line of travel trailers dedicated to off-grid coastal adventures.
At first glance, the Beachy gives off a retro-chic surfer vibe – sleek lines and a glossy exterior on the outside - with warm, cozy, modern fabrics on the inside. You can't help but relax and feel at home when you're on board.
The single-axle camper comes in three models of increasing size, the 360 and 420, which can sleep two adults and one child, and the premium Beachy 450, which sleeps up to a family of four!
The main difference between the three models comes down to functional living and storage space.
Beachy is perfect for those weekend adventures away from home
The Beachy camper line opts for an eco-friendlier approach by eliminating gas cookers and appliances, favoring electric power or a leisure battery to run the lights and fridge. At the camper's forefront lies a snug kitchenette, outfitted with a sink plumbed to a 13-liter freshwater tank.
Foregoing the inclusion of a shower or bathroom, the Beachy offers a versatile walk-in-robe, which can serve as a makeshift bathroom with the addition of an optional porta-potty. The dining space features a detachable folding table, encircled by plush lounges that effortlessly convert into a bed, making the most of the compact space.
The Beachy's design philosophy is clear: while it may lack the flash of high-tech gadgets, it compensates with its straightforward, user-friendly, and functional design.
