Beachy Range Travel Trailers: For Off-Grid Coastal Adventures

Beachy gives off a retro-chic surfer vibe

Germany has always had a love affair with both high-end engineering and exciting adventures on the open road. Think of a Volkswagen Kombi tearing down the autobahn at 100 miles per hour. This obsession has been going on for some time. Since 1967, Hobby Caravans has been designing, building, and exporting their caravans and trailer campers from their HQ in Fockbek in Northern Germany. They've recently released their "Beachy" range, a stylish line of travel trailers dedicated to off-grid coastal adventures.

At first glance, the Beachy gives off a retro-chic surfer vibe – sleek lines and a glossy exterior on the outside - with warm, cozy, modern fabrics on the inside. You can't help but relax and feel at home when you're on board. The single-axle camper comes in three models of increasing size, the 360 and 420, which can sleep two adults and one child, and the premium Beachy 450, which sleeps up to a family of four! The main difference between the three models comes down to functional living and storage space.

Perfect for those weekend adventures away at the beach

The Beachy range has sacrificed a gas cooker and any gas appliances, relying instead on electric power and/or a leisure battery for lighting and powering the fridge. There's a compact kitchenette at the front of the camper, complete with a plumbed sink connected to a 13L freshwater tank.

Instead of a shower or bathroom, the Beachy comes with a walk-in-robe that can double as a bathroom if you pick up the optional porta-potty. The dining area consists of a removable folding table surrounded by cushioned lounges that can be transformed into sleeping quarters in seconds! What the Beachy lacks in high-tech inclusions, it makes up for in simplicity, familiarity, and functionality.
