Mini Cruise Cozy a Kei-size camper conversion
Japanese camper company Oka Motors has built and converted recreational vehicles for over 60 years. Their latest offering lives up to its name.
The Min Cruise Cozy is a converted Suzuki Every Van, measuring just 3.4 meters long by 1.4 meters wide and 1.9 meters high.
In a Kei-size camper conversion, manufacturers add a pop-up roof to extend the sleeping space, just like we saw with the Active Gear.
But that was not the direction Oka Motors took; instead, they made it their mission to cram as much functionality into every square inch of the camper as possible.
A countertop and kitchenette span the length of one wall
The Mini Cruise Cozy's ingenious design features multiple configurations. For a single digital nomad, an adventurous couple, or even a family of three.
Access is via either side's sliding doors or the rear double doors, allowing easy access to all parts of the camper.
Inside, the multi-cushion sofa can be configured as an office chair or dining table or converted into a 182 cm by 85 cm bed big enough to sleep two.
A countertop and kitchenette span the length of one wall. Access a sink and mixer, an under-counter microwave, and an 18-liter fridge from inside and out.

There is plenty of table space to set up your mobile office, especially when you flip up the counter extension that doubles as a dinette.
If you are not cooking or working, that long countertop also has other uses. Add in some support panels and an inflatable sleeping pad, and in no time, you have a cozy loft bed that is perfect for anyone under 5 feet 10 inches.
It is a tight fit, especially if you are hoping to sleep two adults and a child simultaneously, but they did call it Cozy for a reason.
Powering the lights and appliances are dual 85-Ah batteries and a 1500-watt inverter. In addition, Oka Motors offers battery upgrades up to 200 Ah and solar panel options at an extra cost.
As for any bathroom, you will not get one in a camper this size. However, the kitchen mixer can be pulled out the window and used as an outdoor shower if you have to.
Just released in February 2022, the Mini Cruise Cozy is fresh on the market for both domestic and international interest.
Two-wheel drive options begin at 3,272,500 yen, or approximately $28,275 in the U.S., and 4WD models start at 3,404,500 yen, or around $29,425 in the U.S.
It is one of the more economical ways to disconnect and live life on the road.
