100-mile range electric bike looks to replace car

Like many of these stories, Lectric began in a garage in Arizona as a small startup propositioned by one of the CEO´s fathers to build an affordable electric bike.
The two-person team went to cracking and eventually debuted their first ebike, the Lectric LX.
It was met with mediocre reception, but instead of being defeated, the team took the feedback they were given and tried even harder for their second attempt, the Lectric XP.
This time, their design was a major hit due to affordability, foldability, and comfort. The company even claims that the Lectric XP went on to become the nation´s single most popular ebike.
Now, the company is working on replacing cars with electric bikes, and the XPremium is their method of doing so.

So, how do Lectric plan on offering an alternative to automobiles with the XPremium?
The simple answer is to equip it with two forty-eight-volt batteries that are good for more than 100-mile range while on the lowest speed or 50-miles if you push the throttle the whole way.
One of the unique things about this ebike is that power is drawn from both batteries at the same time rather than one at a time, which helps give it the sort of range it promises.

The XPremium is the company´s first mid-drive ebike with a five-hundred-Watt motor for a peak output of eight hundred Watts.
You´re looking at a max speed of twenty-eight miles per hour with a seven-speed drivetrain.
Aside from the impressive range, the XPremium is also a decent cargo bike that offers optional small or large baskets as well as a front rack.
The company says it can haul up to three hundred and thirty pounds of cargo.
If you want one for yourself, it will carry a retail price of around one thousand eight hundred dollars when it releases in June of this year. Still, until then, you can pre-order it for two hundred dollars cheaper.
